I also noticed on some of these aftermarket engines they turn counter clockwise? LOL

You can find tons of horizontal diesels like that. Theyre a thousand dollars a dozen. I dont think ive seen any vertical shaft diesels though.

Myself personally I would love to put a 20hp or bigger diesel in my Agway GT. Get tons of power. Course my GT would be for work...

Ok, I was wondering why I was having problems finding my post.. What a Face LOL anyway this is the main website. From what I take YANGMA is the only company I can find that makes a diesel vertical shaft engine. I found a couple twin cylinder models that are around 18-25hp. I am going to contact them for a price. If they have a diesel 2 cyl for around 300 I would buy one. bounce I think the prices would be significantly lower if you deal directly with the company rather than ebay. Shipping might be pricey though. I have said it before the Chinese have it good. LOL..Funny thing is that they said the engines turn counter clockwise? affraid

John deere 110 with a diesel. Looks like a Yanmar..

10hp yea and a heafty price tag but it is a diesel.

if thats a vertical shaft engine i would love to see how you fill up the fuel tank, and why they would put motor mounts like its a horizontal shaft:P i know Princess auto sells a diesel 10hp engine, for $900.

if your thinking of getting a diesel on the cheap look for 1.6L vw diesels then make a custom drive train, instead of mounting the engine sideways mount it the other direction and use the transaxle as a transmisson and t-case and have a driveshaft going to a rear and front diff of a small machine(my friend has a rear diff and it looks to be from an old golf cart but it was left there when they got the place). That would be one sick tractor, the only reason i suggest a 1.6L vw is because its manual injection and could fit under the hood with some effort(unlike big block V8s).

Nissan(Datsun) made a little 4 banger diesel for their 720's. If it was anything like their gas trucks every drive train part is flanged and divorced.

You could build any combination of driveline parts.

With a pair of them you could build a four wheel drive 4 wheel steer diesel with 20 speeds forward and 4 speeds reverse. Add the second transfer case and you could double the gears.

They had dually and single wheel axles with 4.38 gearsets. They had IFS torsion bar front suspensions with matching ratios. The cv axles were flanged and came in two lengths.

If you want gas they had a 2.2 litre hemi putting out 100+ hp
