So my mom found these... The first 2 are of me on my very first tractor. It looks like a huffy, but I don't REALLY know for sure. It had an 8hp pull start briggs and a chain drive... You would have to push the clutch to make it go. That thing hurt to pull start, it was HARD! I really wish I still had this one!

11years old:

And my second tractor, this was about a year later. I think this one was a 7hp tecumseh. My dad is in this one, probably tring to get it to run right... Which it never really did.

I look like an ugly girl! lol!

Fell free to poke fun at me!

That first one i think was called a mustang- i saw one like it somewhere online.

That Toro is a 70 toro- just like mine is - cept mine has a 5HP briggs - same fibreglass hood n all. I dont have the original wheels anymore- the fronts were plastic- the rears were lil tiny air filled ones- since i changed em, im having problems mounting the deck.

Cool pics!

That first one is definatly a huffy type machine. I agree with dangeroustoys, Im pretty certain it's a mustang (bet not many folk can say they owned a Mustang at 11!) Cool

Looking at old photos is great! Thanks for sharing these man, pretty cool.

Guess you've earned that title of a proper .... gardentractorhead I suppose! lol

I was wandering where to post this, but seeing as you had a huffy on this page, well here goes!

This is where it all began! Mowett10

Not a great picture, but I just bought this from ebay for..... £0.99 yup, hell of a bargain if you ask me. It's a Mowett Mustang. Its a risky buy, I know little about it. Other problem is its at the other end of the country. Ive you a good tractor friend of mine picking it up for me though! Gonna store it for me until I can pick it up. cheers gotta love the generosity of others. His channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/Artwa7mm check him out if you want.

5hp Briggs, not running, apparently Missing a wheel too. It'll need alot of work, but Im gonna try restore the old girl.

Wow- couldnt beat the price at all - does it have the deck or no? Im sure you could probably make one out of another deck .

The wheels? id look around at push mower wheels n see whats closest- could run into a serious amount totally restoring it correct.

Looks like its been seriously beat on- i believe they either came with a 3 or 5 hp briggs ( dont quote me on that) .

Nice score!

Your lucky! Do a nice restoration on it and speed it up to about 20mph or so, put some nice wheels on it... You know, Classy...

dangerous: they came in 5hp, 7hp and 8hp versions (yup, Ive done my research Cool )
No deck either, but I was thinking of building one. The blades just bolted straight to the engine shaft. So it wouldn't be hard to make one.

The only thing I can see being expensive is getting decals for it, we'll see!

fearless: YEah, I was thinking about maybe speeding it up. But I may want to use to for cutting too. As for wheels, well, I was thinking of putting go kart wheels on the sucker. Or something like that. Not exactly classy though

Go kart wheels would look sharp. Id say if y could find a push mower somewhere, use that deck n stuff- probably not much bigger actually. Hard to tell what the original color was .

Decals shouldnt be too expensive- any sign place should be able to make em- the few people ive talked to about having decals made for my lowes machine said that they probably wouldnt be too bad of cost under $100 ( those would need to be custom made tho).

Its getting pictures of the decals themselves though. I think I'd only need the two Mowwet ones and maybe a couple others, shuldnt cost much.

As for colour, they were all originally yellow with white frames, although most you see seem to have been painted at some point in their lives. I like the blue though. I might go down the road of blue and white or something!

That little tractor is so cool, I remember seeing a video of one on youtube a couple years ago. I was browsing the local craigslist and found one like it

$100 isnt too bad (as far as I know), these things can get to about £150+ in the UK, more reason why mine was a bargain.
It wou ld be cool to have for sure.

The one for $100 looks complete - being as rare as it is- its worth it ( most of them wind up as hacked up racing lawntractors) - be worth it to get it and restore it.

Heck id buy it for $100 - and thats saying alot since i hardly like to spend over $50 for one.........

Yup, Im planning on restoring mine on the most part. Which is unlike me, usually I'd mod it. BUt you gotta keep the oldies original in my opinion, or at least some of them.

Depends if I can get front wheels for it.
