JD SX75 go-cart thingy

I am using a JD sx75 frame and a 3 hp briggs running to a MTD brake shaft. I did a gear calculation and at 4500 rpm
it should go about 25 mph...... I'l get a few pics after school if I can.

also I got a linkage for the clutch made. when I get someone to drive the murray while I sit on this start it (I cut up the shroud with the pull starter on it for my big go-cart.)

Where is that suspension spring located and won't it work against the clutch kinda?

oh, the clutch has enough throw that it dosen't matter. there is two springs, on the front of the subframe. they are valve springs from my 12.5 briggs.

Yea you got the point! To make a subframe that the transaxle can articulate on. Cool mod.

the stock holes didn't match the MTD transaxle mounts, so I made the subframe, and I got the idea.

my belt is slipping I used a clutch spring from a murray, got it as tight as I could, and it still slips. my engine pulley is suspected, as it is a 2" and it is driving a 3" on a tranny with a 7:1 gear ratio turning 20" tires. I think that I will pull the 4" off of the murray's tranny and use that as the tranny pulley on this one. if that doesn't work then I will get a new engine pulley.

I'm using the suspension to build the 1998 Murray for the buildoff.

hopefully I will get a axle for this on friday.

well, the belt still slips too much, so I'm thinking about buying sproceits for it. what do you guys think? what size should I get?

the tranny has a 7:1 ratio. and 18" tires.

I think i'm changing it again lol. I think that i will try to fix my 915 that I burned up and put it in this and use the kawisaki that is currently in the murray, make a cluch and lower the seat like Stretch44875's rer: https://www.atltf.com/t1080-first-fast-mower-built-rear-engine-hahn this is sort of what I'm aiming for. anyone else have ideas/concerns about rers? thanks.
