Hi! I'm Paul from the Isle of Wight UK, a small Island just off the south coast of England, We own a small woodland of 4.25 Acres and I have just bought an Alco lawn tractor for small trailer towing duties, the tractor was very cheap £60 but it runs, drives and stops, tyres are rotten and it all needs greasing, oil changes etc.....I will also look to put more agressive tyres on it to cope with wet ground and wet leaves.....

Welcome from across the pond! I've never heard of an Alko tractor before, what kind of engine and trans does it have in it?

I did wonder if Al Ko had "badge engineered" it (put there name to someone elses product) I'd be interested to know what transaxle it uses so I can see if I can source a spare, I reckon if amything else fails its just fabrication to fix and the engine runs well......the rear fenders are not up to much, but I have some plastic trailer feders I can mod to fit....
The trans is three speed and reverse and all appearts to be contained within the rear axle assembly "clutch"/brake pedal disengages the drive belt...jand operated throttle........I'm on a steep learning curve here!
I picked the joker up the day before a week vacation and cant wait to get home and start modding!
