Hey, I am new to the forum and relatively new to working on tractors in general. I'm only 15, so no huge ideas as to what I am going to do with my tractors, but I have 4 at the moment:

'89 Companion (Craftsman) 18hp Twin II, 38", 5-speed manual
'89 Mont. Wards (MTD) I/C Limited Edition 18hp Twin II, 42", 7-speed transmatic
'93 MTD Signature 2000 Elite (Parts Mower) 18hp Twin II, 42", 7-speed transmatic
'97 Snapper Rear Engine 8/25 8hp Briggs Synchro Bal., 25", 5-speed Shift-On-The-Go

ALL currently require work and/or parts.
Anyway, thank you for reading about my crap, hope to learn a bunch and have fun!

Welcome to the forum!  Are you thinking about building one of those machines into something?

Welp, I considered it, but I don't know which tractor or what I would do. I have lots of mechanical experience that I have gained over many years of working on cars. I considered trying out a VW PICT 30 or 34 carb on one of the oppys, but I lack the funds at the moment lol!

Based on what you have, build the craftsman. It’s one of the most beefy tractor frames out there. MTDs are light duty and complicated, but can be built
