| we got the one cylinder just perfect, but the other one is a pain, its backfiring through the carb. we unplugged the spark plugs to make sure it is the one we think it is and its the right one if you are in front of it, we had the intake clearances all the way up to .009 from .004, it got better, but should we just keep going till it quits or do the exsust need to be messed with too, please help. we're stumped | |

It could be poor tuning, a bad plug or excess carbon build up on the piston and head. Set both valves to stock, and look for other problems. | |

| i figured it out, its got to do with the diodes-kill wires, i pulled them off and it started to work fine
do you know where i could get some new ones, it looks like you just buy a new harnes, it also goes to the carb shutoff, then theres a plug at the other end

| Whats wrong with your wires exactly?
By diode im assuming you mean the carb fuel solenoid. For mine instead of messing with it I just put one end to ground (already was on ground) and the other to a positive source.
