Is An Old 70's Ford, or John Deere 30hp A Really Strong Mud Mower? But Not To Heavy? I'm Also New At This I Am Into Atv Mud Racing .. So I Think Lawn Tractors Look More Challenging! bounce

A 70's ford should be built tough as nails. 30 HP should be plenty for any mudding / offroading you want to do.

30hp is quite a large engine for a lawn tractor! Is this something you already have, or just shopping for?

I would aim for a Vtwin in any HP. More torque and more fuel efficient.
