Alright this is my new big build! It's a 93 craftsman lawn tractor, not much factory on it when I'm gonna be done with it. Plans are putting a 6 SPd hi/lo horizontal shaft tranny in it, a 10hp cast iron kohler that needs rebuilt and it is going to get some kind of suspension in the front, lifted like 12in not sure on that yet, gonna sit on 31s most likely, raising the hood 4 inche, and gonna have a bunch of show stuff on it, painted black most likely and want it to go atleast 15mpg, it's gonna go to shows! That's all for right now but here's some pics.

With the engine being horizontal shaft and the transaxle to what are you planing on doing for a clutch? You could fabricate a normal mower clutch on it but it would be cool to see a centrifugal clutch or something like that.

This is mocked up on 6.5in lift (probly gonna end up atleast 8 or 10) and 31s, 55.5in wheel base from center to center.
The hood will also be raised 4inches.

You should know turfs or you cheating. You'll be kicked off the forum, so you gotta use some 18in turfs on it. but you can keep it that high if you want. Lol i'm joking but i don't think that little kohler is gonna have the power, your gonna need a twin. You could run a peerless 700 and a vertical shaft opposed twin and have way more torque.
