What would I need to do electrical wise to take my tractor in the water and not get stranded? There’s a flooded road by me I wanna try crossing I made it across before on my bike and the water was to the bottom of my brake rotors so prolly 16” of water there now

Not much other than some Dielectric Grease on the plug. More than likely you are going to suck in water through the carb unless you can get a good seal on that with a snorkel.

Yeah you should be fine. I’d move the solenoid up higher in the dash though. Just to be safe

I've submerged several solenoids and they normally don't fail. I'm still gonna move the MM's though.

The only thing I've ever heard of happening is ingesting water and grounding the spark plug out in the water. Not really much you can do about the latter though.

In the long term I guess the transmission could get water in it and electical switches could get messed up after while. But mostly it would take quite awhile to have an issue with anything.

I have seen videos lawn mower engines running completely underwater, seems if the spark plug boot has a nice seal and everything else is in good shape, it doesn't seem to effect the ignition too bad.

Of course, the fun factor with driving through deep water is probably well worth any issues. After all, that's why we mess with this stuff, to see what breaks and then fix it. All part of the fun.
