i wantd side shift

the original start to my build had a floor shift i come across a craftsman with a side shift so i did a little cutting and welding and got me a side

What engine and axle?

I've always thought it was easier to just make a side shifter, but a frame chop isn't a bad idea at all. Are you plating it?

yep the inside and outside welded and the inside is plated.I did it this way because it took me way less time to do than making my own side shift which i was going to do untill the other craftsman feel in my lap. and the stock assembly works very nice. i have also gusseted the rear axle for strength. i did the rear gusset after Doc and I have had a few discussions about chassis flex

Im going to be running a 19 hp oppy for now and a peerless 205. future upgrades will be a 22 hp vtwin which i have now just have to see how well it runs

Nice, is the 22 horse a Kohler or Briggs?

yep. as soon as i have funds and i find a good deal i want a kohler or a kawisaki. I'm almost afraid to even fire the tecumseh up.lol

Great axles, but bad engines

yep. i might just make sure it runs and then sell it because i have a 19.5 oppy for a back up

I haven't ever have had problems with tehcumsehs, in fact the racers really like their v twins, I own one. Run this one, I don't see that you would have any problem with it. I've seen people run the snot out if these un gov'd.i

Im about to redo my shift linkeg. Ill get some as i go. But i us the murray shift bracket upside down

i just put a 930 in my wife's Murray that's why I'm interested in the pics. hers hers its still in the begining stage cause I'.m trying to build 2 at the same time. Im trying to give it some special touchs also
